31 C.R.E.W.

Our client needed a logo/graphic based on the acronym C.R.E.W.
{celebrate, reward, encourage women} to put on t-shirts and
other specialty items for their corporate convention.
Must be feminine. Must be bold. Must be pink and black.

This was a hit, had all of the requested elements but... the decision was to go bolder.

So after much creative discussion, we arrived at the final design.
A bolder font, bringing in more pink, and enclosing it in a border.

Success!!

I've got a question for you...

Do you know the number of times we've said these words
to the best customer service rep ever??

I can't begin to count.
Thanks for talking/helping/fixing/coaxing/venting and just getting us!
But enough about us, now it needs to be all about you!

Happy retirement, Connie!

Just Show Me!

Sometimes words alone can't explain a product.
Such was the case when our client wanted to demonstrate to consumers
how their new replacement windows were energy efficient.

By creating custom illustrations to go along with the text,
we were able to show the viewer  how it all works.

Women's Day Out

The striking black and red combination of this logo and tag line delivers an attitude that is strong,
upbeat and appealing. The logo doubles as a headline and graphic element while the treatment
of the tag line helps build in white space that draws the viewer in. This full page tab ad was quite
effective in calling attention to our client's event – Women's Day Out.

Finger Pickin Good!

Themz Sprouts are a'cummin. If you like foot stompin, twirl ur partner round,
finger pickin goodness, then you'll want to see Mountain Sprout at the Waiting Room
in Omaha. They might even play "Turkey Buzzard", one of our favorite songs
(not to mention inspiration for this poster).

On the Tube

We were asked to design a series of icons for a client's internal television system. Each icon
was to be a corner screen identifier that would be used for various holidays, events, etc.

From the beginning, a round cornered rectangle with the client's initials was used to help
with visual consistency from one icon to the next. Whenever workable, some portion of
the image was designed to break out of the basic frame.

Finally, the client wanted a special larger icon developed for the 4th of July.

The Tattoo Blues

A poster for an upcoming gig at Slowdown featuring Blue Bird. Emerging out of
the indie music hot-bed of Omaha, Nebraska, Blue Bird's songs feature lush
harmonies and a depth of diverse musicality.

Our design relies on depth created by multiple layers and textures.
It is subtle with a hint of mystery. Although the letter forms on this poster remain
unmodified, precise kerning is a must to pull off the minimalist look we wanted.

I Got Nada(s)

The Nadas formed in Ames, Iowa in 1995. This indie rock outfit has been called
"the best college band you've never heard of". This is our ode to the "love gone bad"
theme that runs through many of their songs such as "Dodged a Bullet".
Better move quick!

Puppets Being Bad

This gig poster recently won a Bronze Award at the AIGA/Nebraska "The Show 20".
Its bold design relies on eye-catching imagery and color with a heavy dose of symbolism.
